Our Story

Both raised in the Carolinas, Kolbye and Bri grew up surrounded by water, family, and the kind of moments that stick with you—fishing trips, lake days, and summers that never seemed to end.

At 13, Kolbye moved to the coast and quickly embraced the lifestyle—slow days, full nights, and waves that make you lose track of time.

Eleven years later, their story began in a way you couldn’t script better—at a sports bar. Bri was visiting family, Kolbye had just finished a shift, and thanks to a bartender (and a little push from Bri’s sister-in-law), she left her Snapchat.

The rest is history.

They built their relationship long-distance before Bri moved to the coast, where they were married. Life then took them to Richmond, Virginia for a short season before leading them back to Upstate South Carolina—home for Bri and a new chapter for both.

But like any real story, theirs hasn’t been perfect.

They’ve faced job loss, serious health challenges, and a long, emotional journey with infertility. After exploring multiple paths and receiving a PCOS diagnosis, their hearts began to shift toward adoption.

And that’s where everything changed.

Adoption is beautiful—but it comes at a cost. One that can feel overwhelming. Instead of relying solely on fundraisers, they wanted to build something sustainable. Something meaningful. Something that reflected who they are.

Dock & Dune was the answer.

More than just apparel, it’s a brand rooted in purpose. A brand built on faith, resilience, and the belief that hard work can still honor a calling.

It’s a way to create something real.

To give value—not just ask for support.

To build a future while trusting God with the outcome.

Every design, every product, every order is part of that journey.

“We’ve both know the value of a dollar, and we believe in giving value in return. Charity is powerful—but so is using what God has given you. We plan to do just that, and trust that He will provide. Every dollar spent with us is one step closer to an answered prayer.”
